Group space The Kap Shed in combination with eight 6-person fishermen’s houses

Group space The Kap Shed and the eight 6-person holiday homes can house 48 people. Group space The Kap Shed is a cool room, where there is plenty of space to create. During the day, the group can eat, drink, do activities together or meet and at night everyone can sleep soundly in his/her own house.

The accommodation

The Kap Shed is a large group space with an industrial interior, which can be arranged any way you want. The robust tables with iron support can easily be rolled aside and theatre cloths can make the space look smaller. The Kap Shed has two large sliding doors which open towards the terrace, a bar with a tap installation and a kitchen with professional, stainless steel equipment.

The 8 cosy fishermen’s houses have been built in a typical Zuiderzee style, are situated by the water and are

by a wooded bank with walking trails. The 6-person houses have two bedrooms upstairs, each with two single box-spring beds, and one double room with two box-spring beds downstairs. All holiday homes are equipped with a shower, a toilet, central heating, a radio with a CD player, a microwave and a television. The houses are small, but have all you need for 6 people.

The holiday park

At the farmyard, there still live some typical farm animals like sheep and a calf. The sports pitches (volleyball court, football pitch and tennis court) can be used freely by everyone. There is also exciting playground equipment for smaller children. The go-carts and the pirate ship are very popular, as well as the indoor playing room with playground equipment.

In the vicinity

Our small-scale holiday park is at the border of Overijssel, Flevoland and Friesland. The park is near the large Kuinder forest of no less than 1,100 hectares, which is part of many walking trails, cycle trips and riding tracks. The holiday park’s location offers lots of options to go on a touristic trip. A visit to one of the old Zuiderzee villages like Lemmer, Blokzijl, Vollenhove and Urk is definitely worth your time. Friesland’s lakes and Gaasterland’s woods are within half an hour’s drive of the park.

‘De Weerribben – Wieden’ National Park with marshland is situated in the ‘Kop van Overijssel’ and above it you can find ‘De Rottige Meenthe’. Together, those areas form a large peat bog, which started to grow in the 18th, 19th and 20th century because of peat extraction. The area is largely open to the public. You can enjoy canoeing, cycling and hiking. The visitors centres at Sint Jansklooster (monastery) and in Ossenzijl are definitely worth a visit. Giethoorn also deserves some extra attention. With its many canals, bridges and lakes, it is also called the Venice of the North.
